What We Do
Programs of CVMF: The following programs are under the umbrella of the Colorado Veterinary Medical Foundation:
Animal Emergency Management Program – delivers training, facilitated community planning, and raises awareness about emergency preparedness and response services to benefit animals and people during disasters in Colorado.
Colorado's Animal Heroes – celebrates the human-animal bond by recognizing animal heroes as well as people who have profoundly helped make Colorado a better place for animals and people.
Community Pet Sterilization Program – provides sterilization grants to veterinarians in underserved areas of Colorado that work to prevent pet overpopulation.
Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital – provides quality, comprehensive, and compassionate donor-subsidized veterinary care for pets of the economically disadvantaged.
Home Outreach Pet Exams (HOPE) – provides veterinary care for pets of home-bound individuals living on fixed incomes with minimal family or outside support.
Veterinary Student Support – affords scholarships to dedicated veterinary students to attend educational opportunities that compliment their academic curriculum.
